PROYESCOOP aims to give young people the opportunity to collaborate in a solidarity volunteer project, in order to provide a leisure and free time alternative to children and young people in the Sobrarbe region and the French region of Hautes Pyrenées, as well how to prepare accessible trails for people with disabilities.
This project will give 12 young volunteers the opportunity to express their social commitment for 15 days in a different community or country than their own.
Participants will contribute to carrying out the daily work that the Baruca Foundation carries out in “Caserón Baruca”, offering leisure alternatives specially designed for groups at risk of social exclusion. Thanks to this initiative, activities will be carried out with the aim of building a more inclusive society, supporting vulnerable people and responding to social challenges.
In addition, they will allow volunteers to know and commit to the values of the European Solidarity Corps, whose principles are respect for personal dignity and human rights, as well as working to achieve a more just and equal society.
Space for use as a toy library. It is aimed at children of infant education and primary education of the Sobrarbe region.
Objectives: We will condition the space. Promote Barucoteca and its services to the members of the counties. Develop a program of leisure and free time activities unleashing your imagination. Participate and act in the activities. Learn new aspects of children’s education.
Accessible path for people with reduced mobility in the Pineta Valley. Six hundred meters of wooden walkway and several rest areas lead to a circular route within a pine and fir forest.
Objectives: To prepare as a team a unique path in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees that allows all people to access the centennial fir forest.

In the short term, the aim is to disseminate and expand the geographical scope of the Barucoteca space toy library in the Caserón Baruca. Promote it and contributing to improve the installations. Participate in the demanded works of interest for the Sobrarbe region and the French region of Hautes Pyrénées. Also act in special areas conditioning the Cornato trail, an accessible path of 600 meters enabled to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility and visual impairment.
In the long term, they want to report benefits in the community, being able to offer an alternative leisure service responding to a need expressed by them.
In response to this need, the aim is to give access to children and young people with less opportunities thus providing european added value as a benchmark for community development.

The planned activities will be carried out in three large blocks:
Barucoteca dissemination tasks throughout the Sobrarbe region and nearby areas of France such as the Hautes-Pyrénées and Occitanie region.
Schedule review with new proposals to structure the space in 2020. Activities abroad are also planned when the weather permits.
Workshop development depending on the motivation and interests of the group of the volunteer team.
Visiting and accompanying the elderly at home or in residential centers for the elderly, carrying out activities adapted to them, will be the tasks carried out by the volunteers.
Scheduling of meetings between generations (children and adults).
They will always be in rural areas both in Spain and in France and in the regions under development of the project.
Performances in residential center spaces (France / Spain).
It is proposed the realization of an urban garden adapted to people with reduced mobility, through a planned process in terms of planting species, maintaining them, ease of collection or irrigation system.
